BESA is structured to ensure that community voice and professional excellence always go hand-in-hand. Our Board of Directors consists of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) directors.
The Foundational Team:Â
The daily operations and strategic vision of the academy are guided by our founding Ex-Officio Directors, who hold permanent voting seats as long as they serve in their operational roles.
We are actively growing! Our bylaws allow for up to two (2) additional "At-Large" Directors to be elected by our voting members. These individuals serve two-year terms as independent community representatives, ensuring our programs always reflect the needs of the Barrhaven community.
Community Champions & Volunteers
Because BESA is a not-for-profit, our success relies on the passion of our community.
Sports Champions: We actively appoint individual Sports Champions from within the community. These non-voting leaders work directly with our foundational team to spearhead new initiatives, promote specific sports, and lead activities on the ground.
